Such an important topic. It’s a real double edged sword though, because if the AI is engaged with thoughtfully and as part of a healthy balanced communication regime with humans, then the net impact on skill development can be hugely positive. (See the Nature story Azeem and others have shared this week.) There are huge risks here. And also huge opportunities. It feels like so many things feel in 2025, characterized by extremes in multiple directions.

Nearly every educator I know wants out now. There is serious brain drain ahead on the teaching side too.
